Our story
Social media is an evolving industry. We know this because we've been there from the beginning. We worked in social media as it grew from support for above-the-line advertising into an integrated element of the marketing mix. Today we embed it into the heart of business strategies.
In 2004, when the social landscape was starting to form and Twitter was a mere twinkle in a software architect's eye, immediate future was ahead of the curve, implementing the UK's first SEO PR campaign, optimising content for EMI and supporting the company's Myspace activity. Within a year, immediate future had set up Public Relations Online, a group which brought together companies involved in managing online relationships and inadvertently sowed the seeds of the social media industry.
We were the first to offer social media training to the Institute of Direct Marketing, providing additional support to the British Interactive Media Association and the Association of Online Publishers. As the industry was feeling its way around in the dark, we were setting benchmarks and quality standards for the social media people of tomorrow.
By 2006, we were the first UK agency implementing blogger relations, developing what we called a 'blog fodder site' for Sony Europe's Bouncing Balls commercial. In the following years our client list grew to include BT, BMI, Baileys and Sanex. We ran both integrated and stand-alone campaigns, developing SEO strategies for Twitter and creating online tribes on Facebook, encouraging engagement as much as reach.
In the last few years social media has hit the mainstream and we are moving the paradigm again, working with companies such as Indesit to develop social media strategies that meet the needs of business objectives.
We've never been scared to lead the way, think strategically and evolve with the changing landscape.
