Strategy that creates a platform for thought leadership PRimmediate future suggested an issues based Campaign that would create a platform for thought leadership and future marketing as well as deliver breadth and depth of media coverage. Focus was fixed on raising the profile of the need for accessible and usable websites in line with The Disability Discrimination Act and positioning Nomensa as thought leaders on ‘bridging the gap between creative design and user experience’, creating word of mouth debate as well as high profile media coverage. A two-pronged approach was taken, focusing on both education and engagement, to challenge influential journalists’ perceptions of website design and to physically demonstrate, in a human way, the challenges faced by web users with a disability. To incite news and debate, a primary research report would act as a news hook but also engender longer term coverage and debate in forums and blogs.
