Measurement and Evaluation of the PR CampaignIn the Post event questionnaire, journalists rated the launch event very highly, with an average score of 8.5 out of 10. Peter Whitehead of the FT wrote “Fascinating and a wake up call for us all”. Widespread ‘breadth’ news coverage resulted in 19 articles with key media from the launch event of 27th April until 31st May. These included the BBC Online breaking story, IT Week, Computing, Managing Information and New Media Age. However the follow up ‘depth’ feature and opinion coverage of 11 articles included a take over of .net’s June issue as an “Accessibility Issue”, and culminated in a 900 word opinion article in FT Digital Business on accessibility in business from Simon Norris, MD of Nomensa. Follow up stories referencing the original research were run in IT Week and bbc.co.uk in relation to RNID’s eAccessibility Charter and as part of Computing’s coverage of Internet World.
