| Comment Spam | Comment spam,link spam or blog spam. Refers to a comment left on a blog that is completely unrelated to the post and often contains a link to another site - which then gets boosted in the search engine rankings. It’s unethical. It’s bad. And it’s very wrong. |

FiskingTo savage a post, line by line, in a highly critical but often witty and sarcastic way is known as Fisking or to Fisk. The term is named after journalist Robert Fisk, an early recipient of Fisking. We should be thankful he wasn’t called Robertson-Smythe. More jargon-busting in our online PR glossary |
