Undergraduates on sandwich courses or looking for a work placement should consider our tailored programme. Length: Our undergraduate programme can be tailored to your needs. We have schemes that offer a week’s placement or up to a maximum of one year. Type of placement: You will spend time training as an account assistant with a view to returning to the company after you graduate. Alternatively shorter placements will focus on specific client projects. Your training: We will agree and set your objectives at the start of your placement and review them regularly to ensure you are getting the most out of your experience. Training will take the form of hands-on or on-job learning supplemented by formalised training, one to one coaching and advice. You will work as part of a team, dealing with clients, learning how to write a press release, journalist contact, researching and planning a Campaign or managing a longer-term client project. We hope to give you an insight into the world of PR coupled with practical experience that will populate your CV. And just so you know the whole team takes it in turn to make the tea! Candidate must haves: You must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Previous experience in marketing or PR is preferred but not essential. However, you must be studying a degree, diploma or recognised qualification in public relations, marketing, media or business studies.
